I'm Dreaming of a White... Halloween?!

There are few things that surprise me.  Really and truly surprise me.  But when I opened the blinds this morning I was amazed to see everything covered in white.  It looked as if it had been snowing for some time and it hasn't stopped all day.  Heavy, wet, "packing" snow.  Last Saturday it was uncharacteristically in the 70's and I was actually too warm wearing jeans and a long sleeve T.  What a change!  Thank goodness we finally got our "real" car (a Ford Kuga - like the U.S. Ford Escape) after 3 months of a rental (things move slowly over here) that came equipped with mandatory snow tires.  And it's an automatic!  After struggling on some of the steep hills here with a manual trans I shudder to think what it would be like in the snow and ice!  Well, without further ado... here's picts of the boys this morning in our backyard enjoying our first snowfall of the year in Germany!
(I am just learning how to blog so bear with me on the crummy format!)
